This profound story is coming from Queen Ayacodobae, an African American woman born in Washington, DC raised in Annapolis, Maryland, who home schooled her two sons. One who was in Ebony Magazine’s Fifty Future Leaders at 21 and a 2011 graduate of Lincoln University’s Human Services Master’s Program. Her other son is a three time winner at Apollo, an Oprah Winfrey Scholarship recipient of $25,000.00 at 15 and a 2007 graduate of Howard University, School of Communications. Queen Ayacodobae also home schooled other children, one, an 11 year old boy with suggested challenges. Yet after two years in Queen’s Home school program, the student was accepted into the University of the District of Columbia’s Aeronautics and Engineering summer program, and then to the University of Kansas where he flew an airplane and at age 13. He may be the second youngest child to pilot an airplane in the US. The list goes on.
